How to get there
Drive on to the Ilha de Luanda - across the bridge beneath the old forteleza. Once on the Ilha turn left and head as far down this road/track as possible. You will end up in a 'mosseque' - so make sure you get your car guarded. From here the waves can be seen directly in front.
Wind and Weather Conditions
No wetsuit required. Good weather during most of the year. Season starts in October through April. Usually NE and E winds. Wind usually blows from NE and ENE, E on the spot.
Beach and Tide Conditions
Ilha de Luanda / Chicala, Angola is a Chop and Small waves spot. The launching/landing area is reported to be of Medium size. Empty beach with enough space. break with about 0.5-1.5 m. Sandy bottom. Water can be polluted.
